Custom TBags creations aren't mass-produced garments coming off an assembly line. Our pieces are individually created using a combination of new, thrifted, vintage, reclaimed, repurposed and upcycled garments and materials. We celebrate the character and individuality that come with giving existing materials a fabulous new life.
Please measure before you fall in love
We want your Custom TBags piece to fit as fabulous as it looks.
Many of our creations begin with garments from different manufacturers, brands, years and styles, and clothing sizes aren't universal. A Small from one manufacturer can fit like a Medium from another, and vintage sizing can be very different from today's sizing.
For this reason, the manufacturer's size printed on the original garment label should be considered a reference only. Whenever possible, we provide actual garment measurements in the product listing.
Before purchasing, please:
- Review all measurements provided in the listing.
- Compare those measurements to a similar garment you already own that fits you comfortably.
- Consider how you plan to wear the piece — fitted, relaxed, layered, open or buttoned.
- Contact us with questions before purchasing if you need clarification.
The customer is responsible for determining whether the listed measurements will provide the desired fit. Because our pieces are one of a kind and our sales are final, purchasing the wrong size or deciding that you don't like the fit after receiving the item does not qualify for a return, exchange or refund except where required by applicable law.
Upcycled and handmade
Because many Custom TBags creations begin with previously manufactured, thrifted, vintage or repurposed garments and materials, they may show characteristics of their previous life. These can include minor variations in fabric, gentle fading, small signs of previous wear, variations in stitching or other characteristics consistent with an upcycled garment.
We carefully inspect our pieces and make reasonable efforts to disclose significant known flaws or condition issues in the individual product listing. However, minor characteristics consistent with an item's age, previous use, handmade customization or upcycled nature should not automatically be considered defects.
Our handcrafted work may also contain slight variations in placement, stitching, painting, embellishment or other details. These variations are part of what makes handmade creations unique.
You're not buying factory-perfect. You're buying individually created wearable art — and no one else will have exactly what you have.
Color and photography
We put significant effort into photographing our creations so you can see the colors, embellishments and special details before purchasing. However, colors may appear somewhat different in person because of photography and lighting conditions, monitor settings, phone and tablet screen settings, screen brightness and differences in how individual devices reproduce colors.
Slight variations between the color displayed on your screen and the actual garment are possible and are not considered a product defect. If a particular color is extremely important to your purchasing decision, please contact us before ordering.
Embellishments and normal wear
Rhinestones, ribbons, fringe, jewelry accents, patches, appliqués, embroidery, painted details, trims and other decorative elements are part of what makes a Custom TBags creation special. Our embellishments are applied using techniques we believe are appropriate for the individual piece, which may include sewing, adhesives, painting, heat application or other crafting methods.
These pieces are designed to be worn and enjoyed repeatedly, but they should be treated as wearable art. With normal wear over time, an occasional rhinestone, bead, jewelry element, ribbon or other decorative component may loosen or become detached. Snagging, pulling, friction, improper storage or improper cleaning can increase this possibility.
Normal wear of decorative elements does not necessarily indicate that the garment was defective when sold. Following our care instructions will help preserve your creation.
